Nihon Law School (present-day: College of Law) founded. The Founder was the then Minister of Justice, Count Akiyoshi Yamada. Count Kentaro Kaneko, LL.D. (Hon.), the later Minister of Justice, was inaugurated as First Director. |

The college was renamed Nihon University. |
1920 |
Become a university based on the University Order. Female students were accepted for the first time. |
1928 |
The School of Engineering was established. Present-day, it is known as the College of Science and Technology. |
1952 |
Industrial Administration department (present-day: College of Industrial Technology) established. Department of Pharmacy (present-day: School of Pharmacy) established. |
1988 |
The School of Pharmacy became an independent program. |
1992 |
The School of Pharmacy established a graduate program in the pharmaceutical sciences. |
1994 |
The School of Pharmacy established a Ph.D. program in the pharmaceutical sciences. |
2001 |
The School of Pharmacy established a graduate program in the clinical sciences. |
2002 |
The 50th anniversary of the founding of the School of Pharmacy was celebrated. Furthermore, the School was acknowledged by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology for the Project of Academic Frontiers' Advancement (1st term). |
2003 |
The School of Pharmacy established a Ph.D. program in the clinical sciences. It also began to admit non-traditional students who desired to return to school to get a doctoral degree. |
2006 |
Nihon University, School of Pharmacy, began to implement the 6-year curriculum for the study of pharmacy. |
2007 |
The School of Pharmacy was acknowledged for a second time by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology for the Project of Academic Frontiers' Advancement (2nd term). |
2012 |
Graduate School of Pharmacy (for doctoral studies after the 6-year curriculum) was established. |
