Try to understand the pathology of diseases based on their symptoms, and to develop new treatments for intractable diseases and malignant tumors

We are conducting the following two studies to elucidate the pathogenesis of intractable diseases and to develop treatment methods. (1) We aim to elucidate the cause of ALS by focusing on the "seeding phenomenon induced by SOD1 aggregates," which is how SOD1 aggregates accumulate in the brain and cause cell degeneration in ALS. (2) Minimizing side effects: The treatment of malignant tumors is a long-held wish of patients and researchers. We are challenging to develop unique drugs for malignant tumors by focusing on immune cells and circadian rhythms.
