Thank you for paying attention to our research projects. We are devoted ourselves to elucidate the pathogenesis of Gehrig’s disease (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) focusing on how protein aggregates containing mutant superoxide dismutase-1s (SOD1s) kill motor neurons. Our current research is geared to inhibit the pathological seeding reaction of SOD1 aggregates, which is involved in a direct conversion of natively folded conformation into aberrant misfolded one. We also interested in a relation between oncogenesis and circadian rhythm and explore a possibility of its therapeutic application. We investigate it with breast cancer cells for a preliminary study.
