Exposure of chemical substances in environment causes various diseases such as cancer and inflammatory diseases. We are particularly focusing on the relationship between non-genotoxic carcinogenesis caused by oxidative stress due to arsenic exposure and the suppression of mechanisms that maintain homeostasis such as apoptosis and autophagy. Our research is conducted in a wide range of methods, including toxicity evaluation by culture cells, behavior analysis of protein and speciation analysis.
