Drug discovery from traditional Japanese medicines
Our research program has three major areas; discover bioactive substances, such as anticancer, anti-inflammatory, protective of neurons, and effect of osteoporosis, and other lifestyle diseases, from medicinal plants and microbial metabolites as actinomycetes and fungi; the elucidation the effectiveness of Kampo Japanese and Natural medicines; and search for new bioactive substances from Dendrobium sp. based on omics analysis of them.
